DESCRIPTION

Some drugs are in controlled use under the Drug Legislation because of the misuse or abuse of it, these drugs are known as controlled drugs.

Pethidine is opioid analgesic, to treat moderate to severe pain.

Morphine is also opioid analgesic to treat moderate to severe pain, it produces more physical dependency than Pethidine.

Diazepam is a benzodiazepine drug, used as sedative, hypnotic and anxiolytic.

Alfentanil is a potent synthetic opioid analgesic used to produce anesthesia in surgery, it is analogue of fentanyl but it is less potent than fentanyl and more rapid in producing action than fentanyl.

Remifentanil is another potent, synthetic opioid analgesic, used in surgical procedures.

Above, all mentioned opioid analgesics are controlled drugs that are Pethidine, Morphine, Alfentanil and Remifentanil. Diazepam is only prescription drug.
